MillBrook Resort Coronavirus Information – Updated 5/18/2020
On March 22, 2020 Ohio Governor Mike Dewine ordered all non-essential businesses closed and declared a state of emergency that included a stay at home order for Ohioans. At that time MillBrook Resort closed to adhere to the policies put forth by the State of Ohio. Due to the severity and projected length of the stay at home order, MillBrook Resort was forced to shut down all operations and furlough the majority of its staff members. Unfortunately, this closure has impacted the resort significantly. Essential staff have been maintaining the facilities, but the resort remained closed to the public and all sales and marketing operations were suspended. Since ceasing operations MillBrook has seen tremendous losses in business, losing hundreds of thousands in revenue. Since the shutdown began MillBrook has been in regular contact with the state and local health departments that oversee coronavirus policies and shutdown orders. The State of Ohio has been slow to communicate new policies for businesses whereas in most cases MillBrook is learning of information that is released at the same time as the general public through Governor Mike Dewine’s daily press conferences. MillBrook management is as eager as our guest to re-open the Resort and restore normal business operations, services, and membership sales. However, this must be done responsibly and according to policies set forth by the State of Ohio and the Ashtabula County Health Department. On May 12th, 2020 Governor Mike Dewine announced that Campgrounds could re-open on May 21st under new coronavirus protocols. Over the past few days MillBook has recalled its staff and began preparing to open the park under these regulations. Millbrook is working hard to bring park operations back online as soon as possible. We ask that you are patient as this process unfolds. Over the last 48 hours MillBrook has begun preparing to re-open with new protocols and safety procedures in place. At this time, we plan to open the park on May 22nd, 2020. Reservations will re-open on May 18th, 2020. It is important for members and guest to understand that for the foreseeable future there will be many restrictions and regulations in place, via the State of Ohio. In order to re-open and for the safety of everyone, these restrictions will be enforced with no tolerances. Click Here - MillBrook Resort Coronavirus Restrictions and Protocols. |
